Aline Metzger

Aline Katherine Metzger, 94, of Santa Fe, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 16th, 2017. This day will forever be remembered as the day that we lost the best Nana, Friend, Neighbor and Pecan Pie Maker the world has ever known. Aline was a feisty woman that enjoyed playing cards, dominos, gambling, yard work, quilting, crocheting, and most of all dancing. She was an extremely loving, caring, hardworking and strong woman. Life will never be the same for those that knew her. Although she is gone her memories and life lessons will live in our hearts forever.

Aline was born in Texas City on June 6, 1922 and is preceded in death by parents, Robert and Kate Palmer; husband, Dannie Jack "Ted" Metzger; daughter, Judith Ann Metzger; brother, Robert Palmer; sister, Deoma Richardson. She is survived by her grandchildren, Rachel and Randy Webb and Shelby Conrad as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 2 PM at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Adam Palmer, Jack Zakharia, Steve Zakharia, Adrian Lara, Randy Webb and Kelly Pickle.
