Annette Hux

Annette Hux, 74, of La Port, Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at Houston Methodist Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2017 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home, Annette will be laid to rest at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.

Annette Hux was born on February 4, 1943 in Richmond, Virginia to Barney and Berdelle Hux. She lived the majority of her childhood in El Dorado, Arkansas before moving to Texas where she would spend the rest of her days. She was the first woman in the United States to be a member of the Painters Union (The Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades), she was an incredible artist, an avid fisherwoman, a friend to all who met her and an incredible mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her four children; Suyling Heurich, Tonya Hutson, Frank Ball and Sebastian Chunn (The grandson she raised), three grandchildren; Nicholas Heurich, Christian Hutson and Austin Ball.

Pallbearers are Frank Ball, Sebastian Chunn, Nicholas Heurich, Richard Heurich, Royce Phillips, Kurt Kunzat, Robert Higgins, Ahmad Shraim, Mandy Warren, and Patrick Buckalew.
