Bennie Paul Lewis Jr.,64, of Texas City, Texas, passed away Wednesday, January 28,2026 surrounded by family. Whether he was waiting for a bite on the dike, manning the bbq pit, cheering on the Astros and Houston Texans, or watching his western movies while he rides off into the sunset, Dad lived life on his own terms.
Bennie Paul Lewis Jr. was born February 2, 1961 in St. Charles, Missouri. Jr. formerly worked for Walton's Roofing and Kelso Industrial and had a passion for working on cars.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Bennie Paul Lewis Sr. and Juanita Pearl Lewis, his sisters, Brenda Dennis, Sharon Garrison, Patricia Burns-Klopp.
Survivors include his longtime partner Shannon Guiterrez of 20 years, ex-wife Darla Prince and their children, son Bennie Paul Lewis III, daughters Fallon Bartholmey and husband Christopher Bartholmey, Renee Lewis and husband Danny Norcross; sisters Octavia Pearson and husband Tommy Phares, Rachel Jones-Robert and husband Patrick Robert; grandchildren Austin Gass, Aubrey Gass, Kaiden Lewis, Jordyn Morris, Bentley Lewis, Knox Bartholmey, Kingsley Lewis, Preslee Bartholmey. Nephews and Nieces Donnie Pearson, Ronnie Pearson, Jonathan Pearson, JD Pearson, Taisy Pearson, Tina Melene Jones, Damien Jones, Randy Dennis, Billy Burns, Steven Burns, Crystal Burns.
Bennie will be remembered for his quick wit, his love of fishing, rock 'n' roll, cold beer, backyard barbecues, and old western movies. He lived life on his own terms, finding joy in simple pleasures and time spent with those he loved. His laughter, smile, stories, and love will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.

Family and Friends are invited to a time of visitation on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 4-6pm at Emken-Linton Funeral Home, 5100 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway, in Texas City with funeral services to follow immediately at 6pm.
