Betty Bice

Betty Jo Cox Bice, born August 30, 1928 in Ardmore, Oklahoma, passed from this Earth surrounded by her loving family to be with her angels on October 26, 2016. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Betty was married to the love of her life for 44 years, Quinton Madison Bice. After Quinton served in the Air Force in WWII they moved to Texas City, Texas where they raised 5 wonderful children. Betty was a kind hearted and joyful woman who never met a stranger.

Her angels, who preceded her in death, are her daddy whom she adored, James Ernest Cox and "my sweet Momma", (as Betty affectionately called her) Lona Reed Cox. Also, preceding her in death are her beloved husband Quinton Madison Bice, and her two sons Cpl. Quinton Morgan and Terry Dewayne.

Betty leaves behind many precious memories with her 3 daughters and sons-in-law; Carolyn and Lloyd Gilliam, Janis and Larry Morneau and Patricia and Larry Holmes who have cared for Betty selflessly for many years. She will be greatly missed by her 7 grandkids: Morgan, Terra, Tracy, Quinton, Darrell, Deanna, and Ashley. As well as her 16 great-grandkids: Kaila, Bethanne, Destini, Marshall, Terry, Lindsey, Breanna, Keiton, Emily, Betty, Railynn, Mackenzie, Madison, Darren, Westin, and baby #16 who she was waiting anxiously to meet.
Betty would always say "Without the Lord, there'd be no hope at all". She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday October 29, 20016 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City

Pallbearers are Morgan Gilliam, Tracy Gilliam, Quinton Morneau, Darrell Holmes, Marshall Gilliam and Terry Gilliam.
