Brandi Faye Rost

Brandi Faye Rost, 48, resident of Texas City, Texas, passed peacefully from this life on September 11, 2025. Brandi was born on November 5, 1976, in Lufkin, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City, Tx. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 19, 2025, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.

She dedicated her life to caring for others, through her work in childcare and service to the less fortunate. Known for her kind heart, unwavering selflessness, and deep compassion, Brandi touched the lives of many with her nurturing nature. Brandi’s legacy of love and kindness will live on in all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Brandi is preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Eugene W. McDonald Sr., and Faye Castanie McDonald, as well as her uncle, Eugene W. McDonald Jr.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter Kyra Renee Rost, son Kameron De’Shawn Rost (Stewart), daughter Kayla Purdy, and her mother Janice A. McDonald. Along with her cherished grandchildren, Theo C. Winston V, Zendaya Rost, and Leilani Rost. She is also survived by her sibling Chad S. Kennedy, and spouse Angela. Her niece Kyndal Kennedy-Turrentine, and spouse Randy, and nephew Caston S. Kennedy and great nephew Dean Turrentine.

Pallbearers are Theo C. Winston V, Randy Trigo, Travis Payne, Larry Driskell, Timothy Demers, and Tom Demers.
