Carl Dwayne Homan, 55, of Houston, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at his residence. In his 55 years with us, he lived with not only a full heart, but an unshakable faith in God.
He was the proud father of Cassidy, Shannon, Rae’-Ann and Cody, and a loving “Pawpaw” to Ayden, Adam, Braiden, Corbin and Destiny.
Dwayne had a passion for riding, his customized Dana Harley wasn’t just a motorcycle- it was an extension of who he was. He and his best friend, George, shared countless rides together side by side. His love for riding wasn’t just about the bike- it was about the freedom, adventure and brotherhood that came with it.
Dwayne was a man of simple pleasures and deep values. He had a love for cooking, especially grilling and was well-known for his gumbo. He also enjoyed his favorite “30 stones for 20 bones” Keystones, and the music that came with them.
What really set Dwayne apart though, was his faith. No matter what life brought- good or bad, he turned to prayer and his Bible. He didn’t just talk about faith; he lived it. You could feel it in the way he encouraged others, in the way he listened and in the way he found the good in every person.
He was preceded by his parents, Alma Carl and Flora Aline (Lemoine) Homan, and his sister Carla.
Dwayne is survived his by daughters, Cassidy Homan, Shannon Homan, and Rae’-Ann Homan; son Cody Homan; sister Jennifer Duran; brother Robbin Homan and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Those close to him will fondly remember his signature sign off of every message: ✌️❤️🙏🍀 — a simple yet profound reflection of peace, love, prayers and luck he carried through life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you raise a beer, take a ride, say a prayer or simply be kind in Carl Dwayne’s honor.
