Carlos M. Salinas, 93, of Texas City, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 26, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, just days before his 94th birthday.

Carlos was born on July 1, 1932, in Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico, to Nestor Salinas and Angelita de Flores Salinas. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Nestor Salinas Jr.

A hardworking and dedicated man, Carlos spent many years working as an electrician, taking great pride in his profession and providing for his family through his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment. Throughout his life, he exemplified humility, perseverance, and kindness.

Carlos enjoyed reading, solving word puzzles, studying maps, and watching Western movies. He appreciated life’s simple pleasures and found joy in learning, reflecting, and spending time with those he loved.

He was a Christian believer of the Catholic faith and found comfort and strength in his faith throughout his life.

Carlos was a kind quiet spirit whose gentle nature touched everyone who knew him. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His calm presence, wisdom, and unconditional love created a lasting foundation for his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores Estela Salinas; his children, Carlos A. Salinas and wife Leslie, Hugo Salinas and wife Tammy, Dolores "Dodie" Ydrogo and husband Amos Ydrogo, Rene Salinas and wife Lisa, Martin Salinas and wife Belinda, Ramon Salinas, Idalia "Laly" Salinas and partner Roger, and Olaguer "Olie" Salinas and wife Jenny.

He also leaves behind more than 25 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, extended family members, and dear friends who will cherish his memory and carry his legacy forward.

To his family, he was simply Daddy, a gentle soul whose love was often shown through his quiet presence, thoughtful wisdom, and steadfast devotion to those he loved. He taught by example, demonstrating the importance of family, compassion, humility, and integrity.

Although his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to live on through the generations of family he helped build. His memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

His greatest accomplishment and deepest joy was his family.

Carlos will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.

Carlos’s legacy does not end here. His wisdom, kindness, and strength are permanently etched into the hearts of the generations he leaves behind, and his unwavering love will forever endure through the vast, beautiful family that stands as his greatest life's work. He lives on in the laughter, love, and unity of the family he built, his proudest achievement and his eternal legacy.
