Carolyn Ann
Farlow
September 2, 1949 – April 11, 2026
Carolyn Farlow, of Santa Fe, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 11, at her residence, surrounded by her loved ones.
Carolyn was truly a beautiful soul whose contagious smile and warm spirit touched everyone she met. She never met a stranger and welcomed all with open arms-often with a hot, home‑cooked meal waiting at the table.
Carolyn was deeply devoted to her family, the center of her world. She shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with her loving husband, Robert Vanford Farlow. Their love story began after just one month of dating, and together they built a life filled with laughter, resilience, and countless cherished memories. They were blessed with two children, Christy Jo Belluomini (James) and Robert William Farlow (Carol), and five beloved grandchildren: Devin, Taylor, Alexis, Brennan, and Savannah. Carolyn was also overjoyed to be awaiting the arrival of her first great‑grandchild, expected in September.
A dedicated and loving mother, Carolyn was a proud stay‑at‑home mom who never missed a game. Whether at the ballfield, in the gym, or at the drag races, she was always her family's biggest supporter-cheering from the sidelines with her faithful scorepad in hand. Her unwavering pride followed her husband, children, and later her grandchildren in everything they pursued.
Carolyn continued her legacy of care by helping taking care of her grandchildren Devin, Taylor, Alexis, and Brennan, forming lasting bonds and treasured memories. Her famous birthday dinners, holiday cookie‑baking adventures, and the never‑ending "see you later, alligator" game were traditions filled with love and laughter. Once the children were grown, Carolyn worked alongside her husband in their drywall company, never shying away from hard work.
Her devotion only deepened when she became her husband's full‑time caregiver during his battle with vascular dementia. Carolyn ensured he was always surrounded by warmth, comfort, and unconditional love-an unwavering reflection of her selfless heart.
Carolyn found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved bowling, playing Bunco with family and friends, cheering on her beloved Houston Astros, enjoying Mexican food and margaritas, and sharing time laughing, playing games, and telling stories with loved ones. She also shared a special bond with her cherished fur baby, Patrón, whom she adored-even sharing a little evening "wine time" together.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Betty Jo and Lloyd Arthur Houdyshell; her brothers, Arthur Evans Houdyshell and Randy Barker; her sister, Freida Shaw; and her niece, Dorothy.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert Vanford Farlow; her daughter and son‑in‑law, Christy and James Belluomini; her son and daughter‑in‑law, Robert and Carol Farlow; her grandchildren, Devin Belluomini, Taylor Belluomini, Alexis Farlow, Brennan Farlow, and Savannah Myers; her sister, Janis Vickers; her brother, Tony Barker; her sister‑in‑law, Mary Howard and Carolyn Farlow (of Mississippi); along with many nieces, nephews, lifelong friends, and all those blessed to have known her.
Carolyn's legacy is one of love, kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to family. Anyone who knew her was truly lucky, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were welcomed into her life.
Until were in your loving arms again,
"See you later, Alligator ❤️"
