Obituary

Carolyn Diann Morgan, 74, of Seabrook TX, passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2026 in Houston Texas.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 3, 2026 with a visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., at Hope Community Church, located at 1602 29th Street North in Texas City. Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at the Old East Mountain Cemetery in Longview, Texas.

Carolyn was born on September 18, 1951, in Longview TX. She was the oldest of four children. She grew up taking care of her younger siblings and attending church where she played piano and organ. She attended Longview High School. She married Edward Stevenson and had four children. She was very gifted at decorating cakes, which was her occupation for many years. She was a pillar of love and strength to her family, who she loved with all her heart. After her children were grown, she opened her heart to adopt five children and foster many others. She was known as Nana by eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was a fierce lover of life and all things pink and sparkly. Wherever she went, she was the life and beauty of the party. She loved the beach, traveling on cruises, riding with the top down in her convertible, painting beautiful pictures, dancing and spending time with her family and friends. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her mother Rena Faye Wellborn, her father Calvin Daniel Williamson, her sister Brenda Gay Riden, her son Jeremy Clarence Morgan, her grandson Joseph Edward Turner III and son-in-law Patrick Dwyer.

Survivors include her aunt Shirley Shank, sister Janette Castleberry, brother Calvin Daniel Williamson Jr., partner Charles Malone, daughter Melanie and Timothy Kerr and their children Anna, Amanda, Jon-Marc, Jordyn, Jailynn, Jaidyn and grandchildren Noah Kerr and Jacob Cornett; son Edward Matthew and Nickie Stevenson and their children Micaiah, Obadiah, and Lael; daughter Andrea and Jeffrey Maglott and her children Elijah, Joshua and Jonah; daughter Aimee and Lucas Ellis and their children Aiden, Liam and Fin; son Cameron Shane Morgan, daughter Elizabeth Caroline Morgan and son Justin Chase Morgan.

Pall bearers are Justin Morgan, Cameron Morgan, Elijah Dwyer, Josh Dwyer, Jonah Dwyer, Micaiah Stevenson, Obadiah Stevenson and Aiden Ellis.
