Cathy Wray

Cathy McMichael Wray Texas City TX joined our Lord in Heaven at the age of 55 on Sunday January 29, 2012 after a courageous battle with lupus and lung disease.
Cathy was born in Texas City, TX on October 6, 1956 to the union of Bill and Margaret McMichael. She was raised in La Marque TX, and was a graduate of La Marque High school. In 1974 she married her high school sweetheart Claude Wray and together they were blessed with three children. During these years not only did Cathy raise her family she also earned her Associates degree in Applied Science from College of the Mainland and worked as a Registered Nurse until her retirement in 1993. Upon retirement Cathy was able to enjoy her time gardening and working on home dcor projects. Most importantly she loved to spend time with her family and 8 grandchildren with whom she affectionately referred to as Mimis Babies.

She is preceded in death by her father Bill McMichael.

Left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory are her Mother Margaret Leonhardt husband Leroy Brother Bill Bubba McMichael her loving husband of 37 years Claude Wray daughter Tonya Blinkhorn husband Cliff son Shawn Wray wife Meredith son Jason Wray wife Ashley nephew William E. Wray Jr. wife Layla Grandchildren Kara Hooker, Cameron ODonnell, Hannah ODonnell, Macie Wray, Kassidee Wray, Jackson Wray, Dylan Wray, Carter Wray, and her two granddogs Lady Bird and Skeeter. Cathy was blessed with numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins who she truly enjoyed spending time with.

Visitation will be held at EmkenLinton funeral home in Texas City on Thursday February 2, 2012 from 5:007:00 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home Friday February 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pall Bearers will be Shawn Wray, Jason Wray, Cliff Blinkhorn, William E. Wray Jr., Donnie Broussard, and Shawn McManus.
