Claude Morris

Claude Nelson Morris, 84, of Texas City formally of Indianapolis and Fairland Indiana, passed away suddenly on April 21, 2017 at Mainland Medical Center.

A visitation will be held 12:00 - 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Shirley Brothers Mortuaries Washington Memorial Chapel in Indianapolis, Indiana. Burial will follow at Washington Park Cemetery East.

A visitation will be held 4:00 - 6:00 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City, Texas.

Claude Nelson Morris was born March 1, 1933 in Lovett Township, Indiana. He retired from the Chrysler Foundry where he worked for 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Reba; oldest daughter, Debra Hartman; parents, Alva and Emily Morris; four brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include daughters, Emily Bolenbaugh of Evansville, Indiana, and Brenda Shinn of Texas City, Texas; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
