David Eugene McMahon

David Eugene McMahon passed away, at the age of 63, on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at his home in Hitchcock, Texas. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2024, with a visitation from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City, Texas.

David was born in Vicksburg, MS on March 8,1961, to William McMahon and Virginia Humphries. He was a retired Correctional Officer for the State of Texas.  Previously working at Angola Prison in Louisiana and as a Welder at Letourneau in Vicksburg, MS.

David was a survivor of cancer and heart disease. His greatest love in life was his family. He loved to make people laugh even if it was at his expense.  In his youth, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. After moving to Texas, his number one hobby became taking his family fishing, with the occasional trip to the casino, being his second.

David is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia McMahon.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy Johnson McMahon; 3 sons, Joseph Michael (Blanca) and grandchildren Bryson and Lillyana, Joshua Adam (Rachel) and grandchild Rylan, and Jacob Eugene (Jessica); father, William (Bill) McMahon; sisters, Theresa Mitchell (Tim) and Kathy McMahon; sisters-in-law, Mary Hamilton (Phillip) and Shirley Johnson (Chuck); and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
