David Shields

David Wayne Shields, 46, of Texas City, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013.

Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Emken Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock, TX. Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, January 11, 2013 also at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City.

David was born October 20, 1966 in Fredonia, KS. He was a Roofing Superintendent for Walker Roofing for 24 years. David graduated from Texas City High School, class of 1985, where he was a Varsity Catcher for the baseball team and loved to fish.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Harry and Mabel Shields and maternal grandparents George and Leah Colton his father Jim Shields brother Jim Henson and his sister Nancy Carr.

Survivors include his mother Marjorie Shields son Colin Shields Daughter Sammie Jo AskewKovacevich brothers Garry Henson and wife Jerry, Larry Henson and Ron Henson sister Cindy Sherr and husband Bill grandson Rylan and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and relatives.
