Derek Wayne Day, 49, of Kemah, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014, at his residence.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 12, 2014, at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City, Texas. Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 12, 2014, at the funeral home.

Mr. Day was born March 15, 1965 in Houston, Texas. He was a master mechanic and engineering design technician.

Survivors include his mother, Anita Aldridge sisters, DAnn Dean and husband Tony, Misty Day, Alisa Webb and husband Cleatus Eric Land and Leah Land and his dog Moxie.

He is pre descend by his father, Roger Day and brother, Jody Day.
