Elsie Smith

Elsie Marie Smith, 77, of Texas City, passed away Monday, August 8, 2011, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Friday, August 12, at EmkenLinton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Grand View Memorial Park in Pasadena. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, prior to the service.

Elsie was born July 24, 1934 in Ward, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and loved taking trips with her family, spending time with her friends and playing games with her grandchildren. Elsie also enjoyed playing the accordion, reading her Bible and going to church concerts.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Otis W. Smith.

Survivors include her children: Johnnie Smith and wife Susan of Walled Lake, Michigan, Jimmy D. Smith of Anacortes, Washington, Timothy W. Smith of Pasadena, Texas, and Lalani Schumann and husband Brad of Santa Fe, Texas grandchildren: Kristopher Smith, Scott Smith, Robyn Smith, Jocylen Smith, Jennifer Smith, Jaqueline Smith, Kimberly Schumann and Austin Schumann greatgrandson, Gavin Smith sister Julia Polston of Mountain View, Arkansas brother Joe Burke and wife Doris of Prescott, Arkansas numerous other relatives and friends.
