Elvira Avalos, a loving and caring woman who went home on November 30, 2025 at the age of 95, was born on April 09, 1930 in Texas City, Texas to Salome and Luz Inocencio. Elvira affectionally known as “Vera” spent her entire life in Texas City caring for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Monico, daughter Lucy, grandsons Robert and Kevin, son in laws Patric & Brian, parents Salome and Luz, sisters Connie, Chalita, Molly, Dorothy & brother Leonard.
Elvira is survived by her children, Alejandra (Rick) Garza, Moni (Lori)Avalos, Dolores Corcoran, Rosie Wise & Orlando (Nancy) Avalos; grandchildren, Monica (Eddie), Erik, Brendon (Jess), Rick, Melissa (Mike), Fabian, Brian (Marla), Tiffany (Matt); great grandchildren, Jordan(Job), Joshua (Josalyn), Malia, Everly, Pierce & Trey; great-great grandchildren, Violet, Jack & Nyjah; sisters, Sophie (David) & Williana, brother in Law, Joe Avalos & numerous nieces & nephews.
Pallbearers will be her loving grandsons, Brian Auker, Rick Garza, Erik & Brendon Avalos, Eddie Juarez & Rick Wilcox.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones for a visitation from 12:00-1:00 p.m., on December 06, 2025 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home, 5100 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway, in Texas City. Funeral services will be held at funeral chapel from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., with burial following at Forest Park East at 2:30 p.m., in Webster, Texas.
