Emilie M. Franklin

On Wednesday, January 17, 2024, Emilie M. Franklin gained her wings and went to be with the love of her life.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.

Emilie married the love of her life at an early age. Together they both worked hard and provided a wonderful life for each other and their daughter.

She worked 15 years as a school bus driver, and even through her illness, joked about driving a school bus again. She was a strong, compassionate person who would do anything for anyone. 

Emilie is survived by her daughter, Cheri and husband, Michael; grandson, Dalton; granddaughter, Alyssa and husband, Andrew; great grandson, Harrison; and sister MaryAnn.

A memorial visitation will take place at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.
