Frances Lowrey

Frances "Juanita" Gore Lowrey reached eternal peace and her heavenly home on May 31, 2016.

Juanita was born in Beaumont, Texas on June 30, 1929 to James Bowie Gore and Ollie Mae Ashworth. She was long-time resident of Texas City, Texas for 45 years before moving to La Porte, Texas in retirement.

Juanita was predeceased by her husband Carroll Eugene Lowrey.

Survivors are son, Ron Lowrey and wife, Vicki; son Jerry Lowrey and wife Diane; daughter Debra Cardenas and husband John; granddaughter Emily Cardenas, granddaughter Misty Distel, her husband Hence and their children Madison, Blake, and Jackson; step grandchild Tonya Kramer, her husband Ray and their children Weston and Toby, and step grandchild JaNae Williams, her husband Chukuma and their children Zoe and Asher.

Visitation with family and friends will be Thursday, June 2nd from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. and a service celebrating her life on Friday, June 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City followed by a graveside service at Galveston County Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
