Gladden Presley

Gladden Presley, 89, of La Marque, TX passed away Monday, June 18, 2012, at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City, TX.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 22, 2012, at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery with Brother Buddy Herring officiating.

Gladden was born July 20, 1922 in Mexia, Alabama. He was a truck driver before retirement and a highly decorated World War II Veteran in Merrills Marauders. He was a member of the Texas 3 Disaster Medical Assistance Team TX3DMAT, which is part of the National Disaster Medical System. He deployed several times as a member of this team to provide medical help for disaster victims. He was twice recognized as Member of the Year for his outstanding service.

Survivors include his wife Juanita Byers Presley 4 children, James Michael Presley of Santa Fe, TX, Sharron Presley Daniel of La Marque, TX, David Alan Presley of Austin, TX, and Stephen Paul Presley of La Marque, TX 10 grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
