Jared Varea

Jared Matthew Varea, 27, beloved son, brother and soon to be uncle to Katara
passed away January 10, 2012.

A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012, at EmkenLinton Funeral Home 5100 E.F. Lowry Expressway in Texas City, Texas. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Jared was born August 18, 1984. He graduated from Clear Creek High School as a member of the class of 2002, and attended Texas State University. He graduated from University of Houston Clear Lake in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science Psychology. He was a talented artist and musician, a pilot, a composer, and a teacher. We will always have his songs, his artwork and our memories, and the world is a better placed from him having been a part of it for the last 27 years.

Jared is survived by his mom and dad, Tammy and Juan Varea: his sister Chelsie Varea Edmondson and husband Nathan Edmondson and many more family and friends who dearly loved him.

The family would kindly ask, In lieu of flowers, that donations be made in Jareds name, to the Galveston County Animal Resource Center, 3412 Loop 197 North, Texas City, 77590 or The American Cancer Society.
