Jessie Daly

Jessie Mae Daly was born on June 8, 1926 to Flournoy and Jessia Schmidt in Galveston, Texas. She passed away at home with family, on Thursday, May 11, 2017.

Jessie worked at UTMB in Galveston and enjoyed being a member of the Texas City Citizen Police Academy in her retirement years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cyril Damien (CD) Daly and two brothers, Frederick and David Schmidt.

Her memory will live on in her family, daughter, Cyrilla (and Steve) Soukup, daughter, Marcella (and Richard) Worthy, and son, Douglas (and Shelly) Daly; sister, Bertha Pruitt; granddaughters, Rachel Champagne and Danielle Patterson; grandsons, Michael and Daniel McCarthy and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Sean Daly, Daniel McCarthy, and Texas City Police Officers, Jess Colwell, Sal Chapa, Corky Velasco, and Brian Berg.

Visitation will be held at Emken-Linton Funeral Home on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 followed by a brief graveside service.
