John Eiler

John Joseph Eiler, 97, of Texas City, Texas, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home, Texas City, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:006:00 P.M.

John Eiler was born on November 28, 1913 in Flushing, New York. He worked at the TinSmelter and served in WWII with the US Army until he was discharged in 1945.

He is preceded in death by his wife Jewell Eiler and companion Amelia Amato two sons, Elmer Brown and Charles D. Brown daughter, Mildred Boatwright.

Survivors include his daughters, Dora Phillips and Wilma Hartzell eight grandchildren, Linda Smith, Helen Ware, Judy Boatwright, Richard Kellam, Ginger Gehring, Cindy Chuke, Charles Brown, Bradley Brown and numerous greatgrandchildren.
