Juan Alfonso Montez

Juan Alfonso Montez, 94, of Texas City, passed away June 19, 2024 at Mainland Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. 

Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2024 with a visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., at First church of God, 2209 29th Street North, Texas City. Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Hayes Grace Memorial Park. 

Juan Montez was born May 16, 1930, in Sejita, Texas. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Clara Montez; daughter, Maria Hann; granddaughters, Monika Rivera Morris and Stephanie Hann; parents, Pedro and Adricola Montez; sisters, Maria Guadalupe, Janie Buentello, Cira Olivares and Emeteria Rodriquez. 

Survivors include daughter, Tina Emert and husband Darrin; son, Robert A. Montez and wife Shelia; son, Mike Montez; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; brother, Jesse Montez; sister, Dora Rodriquez; numerous loving nieces and nephews. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Church of God in Texas City.
