Juan Vazquez, 80, of Dickinson, Texas, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City.

A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2019 at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Texas City. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2019 with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Juan was born May 2, 1938 in Humacao, Puerto Rico. He retired from Amoco Chemical. He was a longtime member of St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Texas City.

He is preceded in death by his parents Sostone Vazquez and Hermenegilda Sanabria; brothers Carmelo Vazquez, Mariano Vazquez, and Arcadio Vazquez; and his sister Carmen Lydia Vazquez; granddaughter Mia Torres.


Survivors include his loving wife Josefina Vazquez; his adoring children; son Juan Carlos Vazquez and wife Sandra, daughter Marlene Vazquez Silva and husband Victor, daughter Letticia Vazquez Mock and husband Russell, daughter Judith Vazquez Torres and husband Wilfredo, and son David Vazquez. His caring siblings; brothers David Vazquez and Jose Luis Vazquez, and sisters Luisa Rodriguez, Rosa Vazquez, Ana Vazquez, Sofia Vazquez and Mary Vazquez. His loving grandchildren; Alexy Martinez, Nashely Martin and husband Jimmy, Victoria Cooper and husband Michael, Dominic Silva and fiancée Vickery Harris, Jasmine Moran and husband Francisco, Juan Carlos Vazquez, Jr. and wife Martiza, Brittany Vazquez, Jared Vazquez, Mikayla Montecillo and husband Danny, Christopher Mock, Jonathan Ethridge, and Sasha Torres; including 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. And last but not least, his precious fur babies Celeste and Jessi-bell.

Pallbearers will be: Alexy Martinez, Dominic Silva, Christopher Mock, Jonathan Ethridge, Jared Vazquez, and Francisco Moran.
