Juanita Ridenour Ellis, 87, of Texas City, Texas, passed away Monday, August 17, 2026, at Houston Hospice in Houston, Texas.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church in Texas City. The funeral service will begin at 4:00 p.m., followed by a reception. The family will have a graveside service on Saturday, August 22, at 10:00 a.m., at Galveston Memorial Cemetery.

Juanita Ann Ryman was born April 16, 1939 in Seabrook, Texas. She was a housewife and member of Northside Baptist Church.

Juanita is preceded in death by father, Amos Ryman, mother, Beatrice Ryman, sister, Janice Ryman and husband Edward Ridenour.

Survivors include husband, Sidney Ellis; son, Marlin Ridenour and wife Shar Ridenour; daughters, Sharon Barnhill, Rhonda Baxter and husband Bryon Baxter, Michelle Hyldahl and Dawn Schiers and husband Charles Schiers; brother, Darwin Ryman and his wife Betty Ryman; grandchildren, Amber Lively, Elaine Baxter, Marie Ridenour, Andrew Ridenour, Dakota Baxter and Katlyn Vining; her four great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends and her beloved cats Panda and Ono.

Pallbearers are grandchildren and great grandchildren, Marie Ridenour, Andrew Ridenour, Ashton Lively, Tristan Lively, Hayden Lively and Devon Lively.
