Juanita Cortez Ramirez was born July 18, 1941 in Taft Texas. In 1966 she moved to Pasadena, Texas until moving to Laporte, Texas in 1979.

Funeral Mass will be held 12:00 p.m., Friday, June 15, 2018 at St. Pius V Catholic Church in Pasadena, Texas. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery. A visitation will be held 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018 with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents Enrique & Elena Cortez. Along with her brothers, Ernesto, Raul & Luis Cortez.

She leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Ruben H. Ramirez and six children, Sylvia & husband Bradley Stewart, Ruben Ramirez Jr., Olivia Ramirez, Rodolfo & wife Meikeun Ramirez, Roland & wife Sandra Ramirez, Linda & husband Leo Rodriguez. She leaves behind a sister Paula & husband Luis Herrera and a brother Israel Cortez.
Grandchildren: Daniel II, Roy Jr., Gabriel, Ruben III, Christi, Tiffany, Samiel, Amanda, Carolyn, Andrew, Aisha, Rodolfo Jr., Michelle, Angela, Fabian, Gabrielle, and 19 Great Grandchildren

Pallbearers are, Roy Ramos, Gabriel Martinez, Andrew Wilson, Danny Cortez, Vincent Ramos, and Ivan Hernandez.

In lieu of flowers, Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association
