Karen Cochran Kovalchik, 64, of La Marque, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2026. She was a daughter, sister, friend, and most of all, My Mom. She was born in Houston, Texas on August 21, 1962, to the late Robert Cochran and Judy (Reiler) Cochran.

She loved her family and friends. She was caring, understanding, loving, helpful, trustworthy, and most of all selfless.

She graduated from High School in 1980 and shortly after that became a mother. She loved bowling, fishing, dancing, and dressing up for Halloween. She loved country music, her daily stories, the Astros and her hallmark movies. She loved animals and rescued them every chance she could.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Harrington, sisters Becky, Sue, and Patty.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2026, in the chapel of Emken-Linton Funeral Home, 5100 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway.
