Kent was born on August 31, 1954, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to Lee and Sue Crenshaw, Kent moved with his family to Texas City, Texas, in 1956, where he built a life rooted in hard work, devotion, and family. He graduated from Texas City High School in 1973, where he played in the high school band. Kent later worked as an insulator with Local 22 and devoted many years of service to Williams Insulation, Union Carbide, and NASA Space Center. Throughout his life, he was known for his strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to providing for those he loved.

That same devotion was reflected in the life he shared with his beloved wife, Margo Crenshaw, with whom he celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage marked by love, loyalty, and partnership. Together, Kent and Margo enjoyed traveling with family and friends and fishing whenever they could. In retirement, Kent especially treasured quiet evenings on the back porch with Margo and spending time with his "little guy," Cayde.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Sue Crenshaw; his mother-in-law, Betty Lou Hunter; and his sister-in-law, Robin Messina.

He is survived by his wife, Margo Crenshaw; his sons, Hunter Crenshaw and wife Jessica, and Blake Crenshaw and Jennifer; his grandson, Cayde Crenshaw; his brothers, John Crenshaw and wife Janine, Greg Crenshaw and wife Diane, Mark Crenshaw and girlfriend Jo, and Damon Crenshaw and spouse Randy Roll; and his sisters, Rebecca S. Crenshaw, M.D., and Marla K. Crenshaw Ray and husband Kevin.

He will be remembered for his steady presence, his devotion to family, and the joy he brought to those around him. Kent had a special gift for telling stories, making people laugh, and making others feel at ease. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
