Larry Crow

Larry Crow Sr. was born on February 20, 1944 in Houston to Garland Fletcher Crow and LaVetta Mozelle Crow. He passed away April 10, 2016 in Quitman, Texas.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 21, 2016 Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Chief Crow lived in Quitman seven years and was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. He was a member of the Quitman Rotary Club and the Flora Masonic Lodge.
In his time on Earth, he worked as Chief of Police for 10 years for the La Marque PD, Reserve Captain for Texas City PD, school resource officer for Hitchcock PD, and later retired from the Wood County Sheriff's Office where he was a Civil Deputy. Larry was elected to the La Marque City Council then served as Mayor for seven years. Larry also served on the Quitman City Council for 2 years.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 38 years Barbara Jean Crow. He is survived by his wife Theresa Crow of Quitman; Son Larry "Gene" Crow Jr. of Dickinson, Stepsons, Danny Ivy and wife Carol of Pasadena, and Donald Ivy of Houston; stepdaughter, Susan Lebon of Dallas and grandchildren, Quinnten Crow, Camille Crow and Lilly Crow.
