Lawrence Bullard Jr.

Lawrence Spunky Bullard Jr., 67, of Texas City, Texas, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Mainland Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012, at EmkenLinton Funeral Home with speaker Ray Guidry officiating. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am Thursday at the funeral home.

Spunky was born December 16, 1944 in Gainsville, Texas to Lawrence Edwin and Juanita Bullard. He retired from the Pipefitters Local 211 after 25 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and socializing with his friends. He loved jokes and drinking beer.
He lived in Texas City most of his life and graduated from Texas City High School in 1963.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Skippy Bullard his father, Ed Bullard and his mother Juanita Bullard.

He is survived by his wife Carol Bullard his sons Wade Bullard and John Bullard step daughter Jackie Morrison and soninlaw, Jay Morrison three granddaughters Ashley Bullard, Paige Bullard and Taylor Bullard. He dearly loved his Aunt Dorothy and cousin T.A. he is also survived by many nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Rick Bolin, Tommy Self, Mike Cox, Rai Ray Ray Davila, Mike Garrido and Regan Gillespie. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jimmy Roberts, Fabian Salazar, Jack Lane and Jay Morrison.

He lived hard and loved hard and left a beautiful memory. Heres to you Spunky, we sure are going to miss you. The family would like to invite everyone after the services to have a drink at Pops in Texas City.
