Lillian Serena Braddy Fontenot

Lillian Serena Braddy Fontenot passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and quiet grace. Born on May 4, 1938, she was the cherished daughter of William Leslie Braddy and Elizabeth Braddy.

Lillian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Emery Fontenot, with whom she shared a life full of partnership and devotion. She is survived by her loving son, Michael Scott Fontenot, his wife Heather, and her treasured granddaughter Colette, who brought her immense joy and pride.

Throughout her remarkable life, Lillian built a meaningful career with both NASA and the Social Security Administration. Her professional journey reflected her intellect, work ethic, and deep sense of service.

A lover of literature, Lillian found joy in quiet moments and simple pleasures. She had a deep compassion for animals and supported numerous animal charities throughout her life.

She will be remembered for her warmth, her gentle spirit, and the unwavering love she gave to those around her. Her family will miss her dearly and carry her memory in their hearts forever.

The memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 28, 2025 with a visitation from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City, TX.
