Linda Travis

Linda Tomlinson Travis, 68, of Stafford, who grew up in Texas City, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011, in Cypress.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 7, at the EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park.

Mrs. Travis was born April 7, 1943 in Port Arthur. She was a retired Supervisor for the State of Texas. She graduated from Texas City High School and received a Masters Degree from UMKC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow W. and Leedell Tomlinson, and her son, Richard B. Travis, Jr.

Survivors include her sons, Gary Travis and wife, Amy and Michael Travis and wife, Laura sister, Margaret A. Fisher nephew, Roger Fisher five grandchildren and other relatives.

She loved her family and she enjoyed teaching and competing in country and western dancing.
