Louella Mary (Comeaux) Hebert, age 83, went to be with her Lord and savior, Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at HCA Clear Lake Hospital in Clear Lake, TX.

She was born on January 9, 1943, a daughter of the late Bellus Comeaux and Leila (Trahan) Comeaux.

Louella graduated from Delcambre High School in 1960, one of 10 in her graduating class. She married Thomas Hebert on January 29, 1966. Louella was an avid gardener who found joy tending to her plants and cultivating beautiful flowers. She also cherished cooking and proudly shared dishes from her "coonass" heritage. Her Jambalaya, Gumbo, and Étouffée were well-known favorites enjoyed by family and friends throughout the years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Thomas Hebert and her in-laws Rhuel and Nita (Broussard) Hebert; four brothers-Warren, Russell, Paul, and Joseph Comeaux; and her sister-in-law Janice Comeaux.

Louella is survived by her sisters, Mercy Romero and Sally Landry; her brother, Newby Comeaux, and his wife Tammy (Trahan); sisters-in-law, Kathleen and Glenda Comeaux; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and her four children: Monique Connor, Bridget Winstead (husband Marcus), Brett Hebert (wife Patrice), and Raquel Hebert.

She was lovingly known as "MawMaw Bear" and "Little Grandma" to her ten grandchildren-Cheyenne (Connor) Barham (husband Heath), Chris Connor (wife Emily), Courtney (Winstead) McGlynn (husband Clint), Corey Winstead (wife Amy), Devin Nanni (husband Geoffrey), Shayla Hebert (partner Sam), Connor and Patrick Hebert, and Chase and Warren Helms-and to her six great-grandchildren: Fallon and Pierce Barham, Hazel Connor, Juliette McGlynn, and Collins and Cooper Winstead.

Louella will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her faith, warmth, and generosity will live on in the hearts of her family and all those blessed to have shared life with her.

Services will be held at a later date at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Delcambre, LA.
