Marilyn Boyle, 88, of Dickinson, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2026, in Clear Lake, Texas.

A funeral service celebrating Marilyn's life will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m., with Johnny Angel officiating.

Marilyn was born on April 16, 1938, in Texas City, Texas. In her early years, she taught typing and shorthand at a business school. She later worked in accounting at the Flagship Hotel before becoming the owner and operator of J&I Grocery, which she proudly ran for 30 years. Marilyn was known for her strong work ethic, dedication to her family, and lasting impact on those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Virgil Boyle Jr.; her son, Virgil "Chip" Boyle III; her parents, George and Mary Diaz; and her brothers, Louis, George "Bubba," Edward, Fred, and John Diaz.

Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Mary Walker; her son, Jonathan Boyle; her grandchildren, Christy Harris, Nicole Walker, Zachary Boyle, Noah Boyle, Leann Brooks, and Marcie Washington; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will cherish her memory.

A reception will follow immediately after the service at American Legion Post #89, 3028 29th Street North, Texas City, Texas.
