Mary Armstrong

Mary Frances Boatman Armstrong, 88, of Santa Fe, Tx, passed away peacefully Friday, November 18, 2022, at her residence in Santa Fe, Tx.

Memorial services will be held 6:00 p.m., Monday, November 28, 2022, with a visitation from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., at Emken Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Mary Frances was born September 6, 1934, in Jacksonville, Tx to Henry M. Boatman and Duffie O. Smith. She was a bookkeeper, a loving homemaker, and a great storyteller! She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 5400. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Edward Armstrong; son in law, Rodney Carnell Hankamer; brothers, Kenneth Boatman and Gerald Boatman and sister, Wynona Boatman Kienke.

Survivors include daughters, Janet Hankamer and Joyce Balts; grandchildren, Christy Westbrook and husband Justin, Candice McDade, Dwayne Hankamer, Jeffrey Hankamer and wife Jenny; great grandchildren, Jazmine McDade, Mikayla McDade and great grandchildren, Karsyn Jean Hankamer and Logan Leann Hankamer; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
