Mary Carter

Mary Carter, 88, of Santa Fe, passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 at her residence.

Services will be held 2:00 P.M, Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Emken Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Cemetery in Hitchcock. Visitation will be 12:30 P.M., Thursday, January 10, 2012 at EmkenLinton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Mary was born April 15, 1924 in Kokomo, Indiana. She was a nurse, who proudly served her country during WWII, in the United States Navy.

She is preceded in death by her father Carl Frank Bishop and mother Thelma Louis Deis husband Don Carter son in law Rickey Doss and sister Polly Fisher

Survivors include her son Donald M. Carter and wife Lurlene of Trinity, TX daughters Frances M Sharp and husband Tommy of Liberty, TX, Cheryl L. Brown and husband James of Liberty, TX, Vickie D. Doss of Santa Fe, TX grandchildren Donnell Holly, Alicia Madsen, Rick Sharp, Tammy Johnson, Danny Sharp, Janell Piper, Donna Patin, James Brown, Nicole Styron and Rickey Doss 19 great grandchildren 1 greatgreat grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.

Pallbearers are Randy Pifer, Ronnie Patin, Rob Styron, Carl Johnson, Rick Sharp and Danny Sharp. Honorary Pallbearers are B.J. Pifer, Jeff Pifer, Rickey Doss, Garry Nelson and Richard Terrell.
