Melba Moore

Melba Jane Moore, 94, of Galveston and a longtime resident Texas City, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 at her residence.

Services will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 in Natchez, Mississippi.

Melba was born May 9, 1927 in Bogue Chitto, Mississippi. She retired from Beeler-Manske Clinic. She was a loving wife, mother and sister. She and her husband had a wonderful life and enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was an excellent cook and homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rita Luttrell; her husband, Judge Rutherford "Lightning" Moore; her sister, Shirley Davis; her brother, Robert Luttrell.

Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Leonhardt; her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Darlene Moore; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
