Milton David Hilton, Jr.

Milton David Hilton, Jr., lovingly known as David Hilton to his family and friends, passed away peacefully at his home in Livingston, Texas, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born on January 30, 1941, in Brushy Creek, Texas, David lived a life devoted to service, faith, and family. He spent the majority of his professional life as a respected police officer with the Texas City Police Department, where he proudly served his community with integrity and compassion until his retirement.

David was a man who cherished the simple and meaningful things in life. He had a deep love for his family, his Christian faith, and enjoyed fishing, sharing great meals, and staying connected with friends near and far. After retirement, he made it a priority to remain in touch with fellow officers and friends, often taking long car rides down the Texas City Dike—a place that brought him peace and joy. Known for his friendly nature, David truly never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Hilton Sr. and Zelma Bradford Hilton.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Lillian Hilton; his brother, James Hilton, and wife, Mary Hilton; and his three daughters: Karen Berezin, Catherine Monceaux and husband Bennett Monceaux, and Christine Ricks and husband Todd Ricks. He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, he also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.

A visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Emken-Linton Funeral Home, 5100 Emmett F. Lowry Expressway, in Texas City, Texas, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m.

David Hilton’s legacy of kindness, service, and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed.

Honorary pallbearers will be David’s grandsons; Michael Berezin, Andrew Berezin, Joshua Berezin, David Monceaux, Cameron Monceaux, Chris Morris, and Lawrence Cook.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church On The Lake Livingston, 8125 US 190 West, Livingston, Texas 77351.
