Dolly, born Muriel Dorothy Koeppel on March 29, 1917 to Ella Bardsley and Harry J. Koeppel, grew up in Philadelphia, PA. As a young woman she relocated to Texas to be near her father and brother whose port of call as merchant marines was Galveston. She attended business school and enjoyed life on the Island.
Dolly married William E. Ayars of La Marque in 1939 where they made their home and raised three children.

Dolly loved the Lord and devoted her life to being a blessing to her family and friends and was always an active member of her church community serving as a teacher, Sunday school superintendent, choir member, church council member and on many committees. She is fondly remembered as a prayer warrior and for her extensive Hug Ministry. Dolly served her community as an assistant Girl Scout Leader and manager of a Girls Softball Team. She was an avid bowler and a dedicated Astross fan.

Dolly is survived by her three children, son, William J. Ayars and wife Jocelyn of Georgetown, Texas, daughter, Linda L. Franke of South Houston, Texas, daughter, Connie SpeakesLoewen and husband Jay of Houston, Texas ten grandchildren, Timothy Franke, Rebecca Boone, James Franke, Valerie Ayars, Laura Cheesman, Elizabeth Ayars, Bunny Angell, Kathy Angel, Theresa Goodwin, and William Speakes and fourteen great grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held at Covenant Word Church, 367 E. Nasa Road 1, Webster, TX 77598 on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. with Pastors Wally and Lila Hamilton.

Dollys family thanks the staff of The Pointe who lovingly cared for her for the past 3 years.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Covenant Word Church for the support of missions.
