Nella Holt

Nella Mae Holt, 92, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016. Born November 25, 1924 in Dess, Louisiana, she was a longtime resident of La Marque.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 16, 2016 at Emken Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Grace Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Emken Linton Funeral Home.

Nella was a homemaker and family person and a member of First United Methodist Church of Texas City. She loved and cared about her family which showed through her cooking and canning as well as being an excellent seamstress. She also enjoyed working in her yard.

She is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Lillie Mae (Debose) McComic, her husband Tom Holt, and brothers Herbert, Marion, and Wayne McComic.

She is survived by children, Cindy Hutzler and husband Rick of Georgetown, Eugene Holt and wife Ritchie of La Marque, and Jim Holt and wife Kris of Houston; sister-in-laws Betty McComic and Dorothy McComic; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Thomas Holt, William Holt, John Scherr, Mike Ferrell, Tony Tumey, Frank Perry. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Booth and Ben Hutzler.
