Orille "Joe" Broussard III, 59, of Galveston, Texas, passed away April 9, 2026, at Harbor Hospice in Houston, Texas.

Joe was born November 10, 1966, at St. Mary's Hospital in Galveston, Texas. His first employer was Sealy Smith Foundation, and he later pursued a career as a CDL truck driver, a profession he loved and took pride in for many years. Through trucking, Joe traveled the country, made lifelong friendships, and earned the respect and camaraderie of fellow drivers wherever he went.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Orille and Agnes Broussard and Hollis and Sunnye Hisey. Survivors include his father, Orille J. Broussard Jr., and brother, Richard Broussard; uncles, Otis Broussard and his wife Shirley, and aunt Janis Broussard; numerous cousins; and countless friends in the trucking community who will remember him fondly.

Arrangements for the burial will be made at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice.
