Patricia “Trish” Kirschner Gibbins, age 72, of Texas City, Texas, passed away on April 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Trish was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a cherished friend to many.
She was born on July 25, 1952, in Texas City, and Trish lived a life rooted in family, faith, and service. She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Gibbins; her parents, Gordon S. Kirschner and Winona Click; and her brothers, Bubba Kirschner and Gary Kirschner.

Trish earned her Court Reporting degree from Alvin Community College and went on to serve her community as Galveston County Tax Assessor from 2002 to 2004. Her work was marked by dedication, professionalism, and pride in all she did.
Family was the heart of Trish’s world. She had a deep love for cooking and found great joy in preparing meals for those she loved. Whether trying new recipes or watching her favorite cooking shows, she was happiest in the kitchen — a place where laughter was shared, and memories were made. For Trish, cooking wasn’t just a task, it was an expression of care — a true love language she passed down to those around her.
