Pete Doak, 79, of Texas City, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026, at home.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by burial at Galveston Memorial Park.

Pete was born June 24, 1946. He was a retired professor from College of the Mainland.

He is preceded in death by his daughters, Lisa Michelle Doak and Sandi Lynn Doak.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Henrietta Doak; his son, David Doak (Jenny); his granddaughter, Olivia Doak (Gideon); and his great-grandchildren: Jade (14), Noah (13), Marley (10), Addison (8), and Hendrix (5); his brothers Edward Cole “Casey” Wilson, Richard Doak Jr, Fredrick James “Jimmy” Doak, and Uwe Schieber.”
