Raymond Dennis McNeel, Jr. 79, of Texas City, went to his heavenly home on July 29, 2026.

Raymond was born September 7, 1946 in Beaumont, Texas. He was a retired machinist from Union Carbide. He lived a long and meaningful life, finding joy in the simple things that made each day special. He never passed up a scoop of Blue Bell ice cream, enjoyed the excitement of racing, and could often be found tinkering with a project. He had a knack for fixing things, building things, and always staying busy with his hands. Above all else, his greatest pride was his family.

He shared many many wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Pam. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. He was a proud father to his two daughters, Kimberley and Sarah and welcomed their spouses Damon and Tim into the family with love and respect. His favorite title, however, was Pawpaw. His three grandchildren, Weston, Corbin and Ryann brought immeasurable joy to his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor McNeel, his father, Raymond D. McNeel, Sr. and his brother, Arthur L. McNeel.

Survivors include his devoted wife, Pamela; his two daughters, Kimberley Karm (Damon Johnson) and Sarah Thompson (Tim); his beloved grandsons, Weston Wilson and Corbin Karm and beloved granddaughter, Ryann Karm; his nephews, Colby and Damon McNeel and many other relatives, church family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort knowing his love and the lessons he shared will remain with us always. He will be deeply missed, forever loved.

Family will welcome friends and loved ones for a visitation from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Baker Drive Baptist Church in Dickinson, Texas. A memorial service celebrating his life will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m.
