Richard Shaner

Richard Shaner, 45, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at his residence, after a long battle with cancer.

Richard Shaner was born July 24, 1969 in Indiana but was a long time resident of Texas City. He was a cook for Denny's for over 20 years.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sandi Daniels-Shaner; son, Dillon, age 5; mother, Naomi of La Marque; brother, Jeff Shaner and wife Adren May of Alvin, Texas; sisters, Sandy Shaner and husband Darrell Springer of Alvin, Texas, Crystal and husband Kevin Atwood of Santa Fe, Texas; numerous nephews and nieces.

Memorial services will be held 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Missionary Baptist Church at 2402 32nd Ave. North in Texas City, Texas.
