Rosemary Hudson

Rosemary L. Hudson passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Saturday, March 5, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 11, 2016 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Rosemary Hudson was born July 9, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois, eventually transplanting to Texas City, Texas. She loved being outdoors, gardening, fishing, friends, family and her animals greatly, especially cats.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Harvey Hudson Sr., as well as her parents, Verus & Margaret Gerhardt; sister, Shirley McMillan and three brothers, John Gerhardt Sr., Joseph R. Gerhardt and Raymond F. Gerhardt.

She is survived by nine children, Charles Adams III (Laura) and Tammy Romines (Frank) of Santa Fe, William Hudson, Gary Adams Sr. (Debby) of Texas City and Benita Zinglemann of Texas City, Cathy Rice, Judy Sather (Eric), Valerie Shelton (Kenny) and Harvey Hudson Jr. (Shelly) all of Spokane, Washington; numerous beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Gerhardt (Debby), Ralph Gerhardt (Jackie) and two older sisters, Norma Oman and Margaret Beale.

Rosemary also leaves behind many very devoted lifelong friends to cherish her memories. In particular, Erin Sykes, Emma Leining, friends and neighbors Bill and Wally Adams and her closest and dearest friend Ann Williams.

Rosemary was a kind and loving daughter, sister, friend, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
