Ruth Hocutt

Ruth Yvonne "Ruthie" Hocutt, 61, of Texas City, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at Clear Lake Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2016 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park. Visitation will be 10:30 - 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2016 at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Ruth Hocutt was born June 21, 1954 in Texas City.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Geneva Brown; father, Willie O'Dell Hodges "Doc", stepfather, Vic Brown; brother, Larry Hodges and sister, Neva Jo Jones.

Survivors include her husband of forty-one years, Elton Hocutt; daughter, Rachel McKinney, son, Robert Gerhardt; sisters, Laverne Dover, Debra Smith, Cristy Arrazola, Callie Hodges Baxter; brother, Gerald Hodges; grandchildren, Stephanie Shrode, Zachary McKinney, and April Gerhardt.

Pallbearers are Justin Smith, Shane Cleveland, Lee McKinney, Bubba Smith, Bubba Jones and Bert Jones.
