Sharon Seese

Sharon Kay Seese of Texas City, Texas passed away peacefully Thursday, February 23rd at Cornerstone Hospital in Webster, Texas.

A Memorial service celebrating Sharon's life will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 1st at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City.

Sharon was born June 15th, 1943 in Akron Ohio. In 1974 Sharon became a Beautician and opened her own beauty shop in Akron, Ohio where she met her Husband of 41 years, Jackson Seese. Sharon and Jack moved to Texas City in 1978. She then became a registered nurse. Sharon loved nursing. She worked at Mainland Center Hospital for many years then at Galveston County Health District until her retirement. She also loved animals, and throughout the years adopted many stray pets, and actively fought for animal rights. Sharon made regular contributions to the Humane Societies. She loved to cook for her family and friends, and was a very good cook. Sharon enjoyed her family and friends, needle work, flowers/plants, books, recipes, and horses.

Sharon is preceded in death by her father, Billy Branch Warren and mother, Dorine Elizabeth Warren.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include her beloved husband, Jackson Seese of Texas City; brother, Bill Warren (wife Roxanne) of Canton Ohio; son, Danny Minnick (wife Dorothy) of Akron Ohio; daughter, Kelly Westmoreland (husband Henry) of Texas City; stepson, Harold Seese III of Alvin; stepdaughter, Tammy Alvarado (husband Ciro) of Dickinson; eight grandchildren (and spouses) and four great-grandchildren, two nieces (and spouses), two nephews (and spouses), and 10 great nieces and nephews, and dear friends.

"In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also." John 14: 2-4
