William Neil Floyd

William Neil Floyd, 84, of Texas City, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Serenity Gardens in Dickinson, Tx.  Neil was born November 18, 1939, in Plainview, Arkansas to the late Lillian (Stewart) Floyd and Harry Floyd.

A visitation with friends and loved ones will be on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Emken-Linton Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 2:00 pm.

He was a master electrician with IBEW Local 527 and a member of First Baptist Church in Texas City, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lillian Floyd, and his brothers Bob Floyd of Shreveport and James (Jim) Floyd of Dickinson. 

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol Floyd; son, Kenny Floyd and wife Tammie; brother, David Floyd and wife Cynthia of Dickinson; grandsons, Hunter Floyd and wife Shyanne of Santa Fe and Reid Floyd and wife Serena of Texas City; great-grandchildren, Levi, Alexa, Holden, Reid Jr. and Ava; sister-in-law, Annette Floyd of Dickinson; nieces and nephews, Sandy Althoff and husband Luke, Kay Koehler and husband Mark, Dodie Townsend and husband Mark, Jimmy Floyd, Nancy Hudnall and Bob, Sherry Paxton and husband Blaine, Jeff Floyd and wife Tammie, Allen Floyd and wife Nancy, Brook Jones and Justin Jones and wife Bree; brother-in-law, Jimmy Jones and sister-in-law, Tanya Jones. Special thanks to the staff of Serenity Gardens in Dickinson for their loving and exceptional care.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Shriner's Hospital for Children in Galveston.
