Jean Pugh was a wife, mother, grandmother, great - grandmother and friend. She liked to play cards, play dominoes, dance, and just have a good time. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. March 5, 1937. She married Charles (Chuck) Pugh April 30, 1956. This month they would have celebrated 65 years of marriage. They had three sons – Danny, David, and Dale. They lived in Louisiana, Florida, Arkansas, Texas, and Arizona. Having broken her hip during a fall, she acquired a post - surgical infection and died March 22, 2021 in Houston, Texas.

Jean was a stay- at- home mom when she wasn’t working as a secretary. She was organized, could type incredibly fast, and excelled in the lost art of shorthand. She loved going on vacation by car, motorcycle, plane, cruise – it didn’t matter, she was always ready to go. She was a fashionista before the word was created, always wearing coordinating clothing, shoes, and jewelry.

Jean was preceded in death by her dad – John Adam Craig, her mom – Sybil Sherwin Craig and her step-mom – Anna Mae Craig all of Lafayette, Louisiana., and her step- brother – Denver Wade Harless of Pensacola, Florida.

She is survived by her husband Charles (Chuck) H. Pugh of Texas City, Texas, sons Charles Daniel (Danny) Pugh (Chon) Texas City, Texas, David (Dave) Michael Pugh (Becky) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Dale Christopher Pugh (Steffani) of Tomball, Texas. Grandchildren Tally Rochon Pugh Perez (Trent) of Pearland, Texas, Traeci Elizabeth Pugh Taylor (Mark) of Wylie, Texas, Charles Daniel Pugh, Jr. (Ashley) of Raleigh, North Carolina, Lucas Craig Pugh (Kathleen) of Tempe, Arizona, Austin Chandler Pugh (Petra) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Tara Morgan Pugh Hernandez ( Andres) of Tempe, Arizona, Dallas Michael Cozby (Melissa) of League City, Texas, Vaughn Isaac Pugh, Tomball, Texas, Maya Simone Pugh, Tomball, Texas, and twenty great grandchildren.

The memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 10, 2021 at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal 1604 9th Avenue N, Texas City, TX 77590. It will be live streamed at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2ozaH91GPCDAzErsX2iQog/featured

A reception immediately following the memorial service will be held at Mem1 – Memorial Lutheran First Presbyterian 2021 29th ST N, Texas City, Texas 77590.
